Description: I know people who think they are on the past to being righteouss just because they haven't killed anybody. Sure you might not steal or get a speeding ticket, but that isn't going to save you. Don't get me wrong, it is important to follow the rules set before us by those in authority, but don't forget God. We need to have His blood covering our sin and making us clean.
Good Deeds Don't Equal Righteousness -------------------------------------------
Again I congratulate you for putting this out there.
I agree whole heartedly with this piece as I said in my last comment to you, people believe what they are told to believe:
My example for this is that a hundred years ago, every body went to church, Sunday was a day to thank God for what they had been given. Fast forward to the present day and what percentage of the population believe that he is real? Not a lot.
We have been fed lies, told that humankind is great, that we are all that exists, that there is no god. Example's are shown of how mankind went from being an ape to a man who can walk, talk, and invent the things we ahve invented. We congratulate ourselves and pat ourselves on the back when we invent new things such as Television, a cure for diseases. Then turn around and start wars because we have invented better ways to kill each other.
Anyway, I just wanted to say I liked this poem. I think I have such strong beliefs on this subject that I just babble on about it.
