This was written for a friend who will never see it. For too long I've been playing psychologist for him, and I can't take it any longer. So instead of flying off th handle at him, I wrote this.

To Jason: I'm sorry I can't be more help.

Sunset, city line, silhouetted high rise
I can get lost looking in my own eyes
    Don't know where I've been
    But now I'm gone

You need me, you can't breathe
Can't take this, I gotta leave
Call me when you're sane again
    Time to say so long

Helping you to make it through
Breakin' down, you know it's true
I know we've been the best of friends
    I can't do this anymore

I feel confused, I've been so used
You don't know how I've been abused
This is where the chapter ends
    This isn't what I'm for

I really tried by you denied
And in the end you turned aside
I'm done with all of this
    You're all alone

I'm tied to the mast and she's sinking fast
You had to realise this wouldn't last
This whole thing's been hit or miss
And I've hung up the phone

I'm seeing blind, I'm so far behind
Inside my head the gears won't grind
    I don't know where I've been
    But I'm gone

I'm sorry. It's really hard to deny friends help but I guess it can happen. Some people can get sick of helping one another, sometimes it's not right but if you feel like you've done all you can then don't feel bad becuase at least you helped, right?

This is a very nice write however. I liked it a lot. The emotion was deep and there and it flowed very well. Some word choice could help this and perhaps a little revamp on the meter. Other than that I wouldn't change a thing.
