this part especially. The rest however, feels dull and lifeless compared to this. It doesn't sit up off of the page and talk to you like a good poem should. I honestly like it best as just those lines. You don't need the first part, it doesn't tell us anything that isn't in the last part.
The snake in the bee hive is such a startling image. I'm not sure how too take it. It makes me think that the snake is there on false times. It's bigger, it not even the same species or class of animal. Though, depending on the snake, it also has a sting, doesn't it. The image doesn't really make either the bees or the snake come off well. Both are dangerous in their ways, both misunderstood and feared.
