There aren't enough words to describe his love and how he passed it on to all of us.

Struggling to see road signs through tear filled eyes
Weeping "Be Not Afraid" as I pray for his life
I fly away with no luggage and no time to spare
Starving for updates as I take to the air
All of my siblings pick me up together
and the silent ride to the hospital seems to take forever
I rush in to see him and the sight breaks my heart
So much to say, I don't know where to start
He says he loves me and that he's ready to go
And that Grandma has waited long enough for him now
So hard to accept, I fall apart when I go
So torn by the thought that he might be scared and alone
The word came the next morning that he'd passed away
I'll never forget my emotions that day
So much grieving, tear after tear
Yet knowing that now he has nothing to fear
"Be Not Afraid" plays as we walk down the aisle
Granchild after grandchild, 21, single file
We can't stay composed because we miss him so much
As we stand face to face with all the lives that he's touched
The church is full, every seat is taken
My Grandpa's life is all but forsaken
There's a celebration in paradise now that they're together
My grandpa and grandma, side by side forever
I'll dance with them one day when my time arrives
Until then, I'll love them every day of my life
