    -------------------------------------------

    Between the fields of flowers
She stood gazing at the moon
    Shining in all her glory,
    Her arched back
    Full of confidence
    Her sword in her hands,
Ready to take on anything in her path
    She stood waiting,
    Waiting for something to happen

Day and night, time went by
    Days became months
    And months turned to years
Her sword was no longer in her hands
But now was to be found on a rack
    Her back now stooped
    No longer assured

Now an old woman who can only regret
She knew what difference action could make

Inaction and thoughts of what might have been always provoke excellent poetry. I thought this piece was superb.
