A Bit of Chess

The naughty glass cut you
Bleeding warm and wet.
Do stop those foolish tears
My pretty pretty little pet.

Glass is quite abrasive-
I taste just how you feel.
Shards digging deeper, hard,
Gashing open to reveal.

Who will care for the flowers
Now that you are gone?
But we both were quite aware
I was queen and you were pawn.

I think if you cut out one "pretty" it fits the syllable structure of line 2 better. And maybe the last line should be "I was queen to your pawn". Just ideas, otherwise, good write.

nursery rhyme, almost to easy to read, the verses to quickly to realize what you are talking about but i still like it, probably one i would recognize in the future if i found it somewhere else
