Description:

i was with a bf for 2 years
thought i finally found true love
but sometimes love isn't enough
or its the right love at wrong time

Emptyness

Empty memories in drunken thoughts
Broken hearts will never mend
A love soon forgotten
Fighting on the phone all day
But when she quits it all
You decide to change
Time well spent is lost
Gifts gather cobwebs in corners
Pictures torn and thrown away
All memories of that time
Two years of her life
Wasted on a nothing relationship
Glue of love didn't stick
And didn't hold them together
A second family lost forever
Future plans are flushed away
But she did it for herself
To one day be happy
And move on with her life

Eh. Complete cliché. I've heard all this a dozen times a day. You can make it different. Take a different point of view. Say what you want to say, but say it in a way no one's heard it before. Make it different. Make it stand out from the trillions of other angsty, naive poems like it. I think you can do it. Just a tweak, here and there. Just my thought. Let me know if you change anything on it.
