Description:
There is a tree just down the road from me and it's all by itself and everyday I drive by it and wonder how lonely it must be, without another tree. I know it's short, but I'll probably add on to it at a later date.

Lonely tree dots

I'm just a lonely tree in the city,
it's what I'm meant to be...

No other trees around to see,
just lonely sad ol' me.

Buildings to my left and buildings to my right,
me in the middle, pondering my plight.

O' what I wouldn't give,
for a forest where I could live...

So, I wouldn't be,
just a lonely old tree in the concrete city.

  The tree is me. I am the tree. And in this world of misery. We will always nothing be. Surrounded by things but always alone. Never a place to call my home. Ignoring me until they need a bone. And with their tools, cause me to be prone. I don't know what it is about your poetry. That cuts so deep to the insides of me. I enjoy your writing, it keeps bringing me back. Please keep it going so there will be no lack.

  awe, the poor ol' tree! its funny, i drive to my salon and pass this huge oak thats all by itself. it looks like it could be 100+. ive always wanted to go get my art supplies, go sit by it, and keep him company and paint him. i dont think you need to add to it, but if you do, it would be a really cute story!!

  I always do that too - think about stuff like that

I love trees and I would think the same thing - is it just so lonely?! Perhaps the tree befriends the birds and squirrels or other guests that play amongst "IT's" branches. "IT" also has a friend in you because you actually think about the tree and send it your energy

  This is vey cute. I think it would make a good children's story if you wanted to put it in that format. The rhyming does make it a little juvenille, but I don't know if that is what you were going for or not. Personally, I like it. Let me know if you add on to it later.
