    dotsBut A Fool I Wasdots
    -------------------------------------------

    I polish the stone
    that came with the ring
    by dim lit purple flames
    as I try to understand
    with my mind and heart
    the reasoning that led
    a diamond to become
    simply weathered grey.
    I rub with moist rags
    soaked in my tears
    the layers of skin
    that I slowly
    and gently wipe away
    like a true craftsman
    to reach truth
    etched coldly
    in the lining
    of the heart
    that simply reveal
    I was never
    deeply in her heart
    but rather the clown
    in a circus
    of many fools.

I liked it, and felt the emotion. I have to agree with Ani that it didn't go smoothly but over all it was wonderful! Keep writing!!

This was very nice but it didn't flow as it should've..it didn't read smoothly..If you fixed the lines or made it into stanzas maybe that would be good..Overall I loved the poem!

Be kind, take a few minutes to review the hard work of others <3
It means a lot to them, as it does to you.
