dotsTears of a Clown- Part10 dots

Lilly stood outside the front door, shivering in the cool night breeze. She was standing on one of the many city streets and they weren't the safest places for a woman to be, especially not on her own. The flimsy fabric of her top did nothing to stop the cold reaching her body and covering her in goose bumps, clutching her arms to her chest she rubbed her hands to try and keep them warm; she'd always felt the cold and she could already feel her finger tips becoming numb. She wondered what exactly she was going to do, she couldn't go back into the house- not after such a dramatic exit anyway and she couldn't sleep out here- she'd catch pneumonia or something like it; her mother's words hung in her ears "You can't go out like that! You'll catch your death of cold!", in her teenage years Lilly would've laughed but now it was the truth. Mind you, on second thoughts it would serve him right if she DID get ill, then he'd be sorry. It wasn't worth it, she would have to find somewhere to go, she looked about her and picked an easterly direction, no real reason for it except that it was the way that her feet wanted to go. She walked for half an hour before realising that she had been on this street before, it was where Sam's cousin lived (or at least had lived ) and all this time she had been living round the corner. She hesitated outside the gate but her feet wouldn't let her stop, walking up to the door Lilly gently knocked and waited. No answer. As she turned to leave she heard the grate of a lock being undone and a womans voice called out "hello?" turning around she looked the woman in the face, it was Sam's cousin, "Chloe? What are you doing here?"
