    It this man?

    To strip your child bare
    And from your own hand
    Make leather belt strike skin?

    Is this man?

    To ignore the screams of remorse
    And the red welts left behind
    In the belt's destructive path?

    Is this woman?

    To stand idly by
    Attempting to ignore the sounds
    Of the screams and belt meeting skin?

      This is a very heartwrenching piece; in a way that it was painful to read. Sometimes, or at least most often, it is hard to face things that happen in life; or at least other peoples lives at that. It always amazes me what people will do to other people.

    I love the question you pose; 'Is This Man?"
    Then "Is this woman?" so simple yet... thought provoking.
    Gives me the shudders.

    I also like the structure; simple, but you follow it. And I like organized things. :-)

      I have never agreed with drastic and violent measures of discipline or taking one's problems out on another - little, big, man, woman....

    My father had a violent side and we walked on pins and needles sometimes - thankfully, he's a lot better now - years later - he sees there's more than one way to get your point across.

    This was simply stated and had a great message and prompts the question - how much is too much.
