This is for the brunettes, red heads, or anyone else that thinks that blondes are "dumb!"

Blondes

-------------------------------------------

Blondes need help with alot of stuff
Alot of normal things are very tough

Like tying our shoes
Or singing the blues

People think blondes are pretty dumb
But, they haven't seen what's about to come

Underneath the fake boobs and designer jeans
There's a sense of smartness that's very keen

I mean, we know how to do math
And we can even manage to take a bath

We dress in designer clothes
But, that's just the way it's always gonna go

So, next time you brunettes think blondes are slow
You might start to feel pretty low

'Cause blondes hold the power!
(And we do it stylish, wearing in our hair a pretty pink flower )

  People take these things too serious lol. I liked the poem, me being brunett, yes yes i liked the poem lol. You did very well, I like the comedy you put in but also the realism of stereotypes. Overall good write keep up the good work! :)

  well unlike the other commenters i feel that most blondes are dumb....espesually when it comes to commen sence. but dont get me wrong, not all blonds are completely stupid.

about the poem....i though that it was ok...i wnated it to be more complex in a way...idunno...i guess that i wanted something more to the poem itself.well other than that it was ok.

  I think people think blodes are dumb because:

1: Black and brown are dark colours,implying darker personalities,just like red implys a fiery temper and blonde implys bubbly people who are generally happy.

of course thats all a myth as a person with black hair could have a temper worse than anyone with red hair for example,its just associating personality with colours,its fun but not exactly true.

2: In old films the "damsel in distress would most of the time had blonde hair as it was seen as attractive along with blue eyes (aryan).So girls with black hgair never got the chance to look dumb and need rescuing.

Theyre just some reasons I thought of for the way people t might think of blondes as dumb but its most likely bull that Im talking here.

3: Some blondes play up to the steriotype.

Still I dont find them to be dumb (unless they are lol)

Its just a steriotype which in this case isnt true.

Anyway nice poem,it really made me think.

  I too never thought blondes were dumb, and I also think that this doesn't do much to disprove the "dumb blonde" image. (I mean no disrespect in anything I say). For one, the poem is very weak. The rhymes are common, and it seems like more concern was put on rhyming than meaning. "I mean, we know how to do math/ And we can even manage to take a bath" is a good example. You could've used words like hath, path, or a near rhyme like laugh to better effect because bathing isn't the most intellectually taxing activity. I think that about almost all of the couplets, but I'll just give that example. This is a bit short to use "designer" twice as well. I'd also have preferred if you'd have said that blondes aren't just worried about clothes and their appearance. (The reference to breast implants really goes against your intended message). "A lot" is also two words.

  I agree with the previous commenters. I never thought blondes were dumb. It doesn't matter what color hair or anything else superficial that makes you dumb, its the simple fact of not being smart. Then again, what is 'smart' any way? I also agree that if this was a poem to show blondes aren't dumb, it wouldn't have convinced me if I had thought they were. It seemed like a feeble attempt by a blonde to convice the world she's not all about pretty things and fake breasts. But the poem itself was written nicely, I think the brains behind the poem should write about better tihngs though. No offense. Keep up the nice work, and I'll keep reading

  I never assumed blondes were dumb. That's just a silly joke that I don't think anyone with half a brain would truly believe.

If the purpose of this poem is to prove that blondes are smart though, I think it's rather unsucessful. I think this poem does a disservice to blondes everywhere.

I'm guessing it wasn't a truly angry poem but actually a joke. Right?
