    Description:
This poem I wrote, describes a screne at Florida's St John's River. This ist Floridas largest River and I believe the only one in North America flowing from south to North. Most of it is in a pretty natural state and vast swampland and natural preserves adjoining this body of water.

    dotsSunday morning on the Riverdots
    -------------------------------------------

The sun awakes, the River site
with cloudless weather, blue and bright
while herons looking here for fish
    as Sunday’s early breakfast dish.
The water’s face is smooth as glass
    when dragonflies appear in mass,
and mangrove trees were standing still
but wind is picking up until
the ocean breeze gives moving life
    a cormorant performs a dive
    and vultures sitting in between
the trees and watch the playful scene.
A speeding fisher leaves a wake
the water mirror starts to break
and lilies use the swell to sway
and dance into the newborn day.
