    dotsUnfulfilled fairy tale dots
    -------------------------------------------

The hollow trunk of the oak tree
    is waiting in the night
Is waiting for, what we can't see,
    the hero, prince and knight
No hero comes so young and free,
    no hero in moonlight.
    Mistaken was the hollow tree,
    still waiting in black night

A very short, but a fine poem--I would not call it a comedy--it is somewhat sad, but quite excellent... again, a very fine poem ... bravo .... bravo ... bravo ... michael

I like this. Symbolic of the real world - where the fairy tale is always unfulfilled. I don't understand why it's a hollow tree though?

The meter is rigid and you do well to stick to it while keeping good sense. It feels fairy tale because of this rhythm and it works well to add to the poem. The repetition too is a very childlike, fairy tale-esque device. (I don't know whether you do all this consciously, but if not there you go)

Welcome to Eliteskills! Thanks for the read
