Having done a forum thread about musical taste, I couldn't resist posting this. Its about a girl pretending to be into goth bands when secretly she's a pop music fan but won't admit it. I posted this partly cos I know plenty of people who like pop but wont admit it. Hope you enjoy (note: this is a joke song, please don't take offence)

dotsMurdered In The Mosh (James Bourne)dots

This song goes out to all the fakers
You all know who you are, it started with a girl
Kept turning her nose up at my band, now I know
She's into Yellowcard, Blink and Simple Plan
    (It's so pathetic)

She's into Jane's Addiction, but she don't know their songs
And I fall over laughing when she tries to sing along
She thinks that she's so emo, next week she'll be a goth
It all amounts to nothing, she gets murdered in the mosh

Last night I crashed at her apartment
Her Sonic Youth CD's were nowhere to be seen
Instead all I found was a letter (now I know)
Her correspondence with some pop star magazine
    (It's so pathetic)

Sometimes I wonder what's going on inside her mind
When she said she thought Dave Grohl had died, and Kurt Cobain was still alive
Just go to concerts that you love, cos there's no shame in liking Backstreet Boys

This song goes out to all the fakers, to all the critics and the haters (x2) You all know who you are

Give it up, your friends will find out now or later
Time for change, it is not good to be faker
    (sung till fade)

hey ed. you have wrote me a song.

yes i love pop and techno. sue me. i like anything with an addictive beat i can pretend to dance to as well as a good hook that I can rememberthe lyrics to. Unlike yr gal, I do honestly admit to my lack of taste in music. But I do atleast enjoy my music. i once went a red jump suit apparatus concert with my emo boyfriend sean and he took me into the mosh pit. I got kicked in the head which pised me off so I punched the chick and left the pit. I made him buy me like eight of the three dollar sodas to pay him back for dragging me to such a horrible time. (after he felt bad i lightened up and stated to kinda like the music)

    anyways have fun,

Very tongue and cheek. I know alot of people like this as well. To be honest I love pop music and brutal death metal all at once, and am proud of both, I don't see why people find shame in their tastes, it's part of who they are.

So yeah this was good...Fake ass ppl...I know a feel...LOL.....But by the piece it seems more of poem or somthing i just doesn't flow like a song....well the chorus does but not the main lyrics of the song...but the point in the piece is great...

Well hope to hear from you and keep up the good work..
