The train gallops across the Great Plains,
The Night sky burning with everlasting flames,
Our window is open letting the light in,
Stars looking down giving a lovely grin.
It sees you and me lying down together,
Our breathing as light as a feather.
Asleep in each others arms, the night passes by,
Nothing looks prettier to the Moon’s eye.
I lie down on my side my arm around you
As you lie on your side feeling life anew.
Our bare bodies pressing against each other
As my mind focuses on how much I love her.
This long Night has passed on threw.
Dawn comes, It can’t be true.
With out opening an eye, I grasp the blinds,
Closing it shut, blocking light of all kinds.
The train gallops across this great land,
Coming home to the California sand.
