Broken heart for what breaks Yours,
gazing into a world turned cold.
Eyes stopped being cast upward,
hearts stopped beliving in You we trust.
A nation under a Prophetic Ruler,
was ripped apart from its holy right.
No longer we voice these words,
in a free America's public schools.
Knees cannot bow in prayer to You,
but others are forgivable.
Ten Commandments are brushed away,
we have forgotten the Golden Rule.
Eyes fill with tears, at those so lost,
a dizzying effect grips a heart.
Those who claim to know You cry,
"My God, why do they doubt?"
Churches seeped in dead religion,
trapped under a title's influence,
they have forgotten Christianity,
being Baptist or Catholic doesn't count.
Tithers giving ten percent,
keeping porcelain hands clean.
Forgetting we are Christ's body,
disciples meant to go out.
No one looks towards an Eastern horizon,
awaiting the COMING RISEN KING,
who will set up a kingdom of love and righteousness,
who will forever cease all their doubt. |
