Temptation…
Her eyes followed the one sensation she couldn’t reach. Envious eyes she held and feeling of desirous flowing through her vein, while watching every little bit fed into the craving mouth. She realized how she had wanted to belong, to touch her lips upon the smooth cream. But she doubted her mind shall lead her limbs forward into her new found land.
Once, her friends described to her the delicacy of dessert. The one refreshment that will melt as soon as it touches the tongue, and glide down the throat, then cool sensation feels upon the nerves. She had already melted upon those words imprinted on her mind.
Voices rang through her head, shallow breathing kept her unease.
‘... They are soft and smooth, cool and refreshing. At times, it brings you joy and freedom. On the other while, it soothes the nerves and gives the pleasure. Do you know what the best part is? That is the taste and the sound of its name, as sweet as yours – Aurora.’
Shivers sent down her spine. Jonathan’s voice teased upon her ears. Those moments had made her special. Her giggles echoed throughout the small room, as his fingers admired her smooth curves. Laughter filled the air, along the sweet aroma of lust twirling, and entrancing kisses upon the lips; Aurora’s mind swirled.
‘Put away the past. You belong to me now. Just one scoop of taste, you’ll be floating. Listen to my voice. Just trust me, my angel… my sweet Aurora.’ Oh, she remembered the burning touch of her lover, and his promise – his spell which cast upon her mind.
Her parents had always said Jonathan wasn’t a good man. How well did they know about her husband more than she did. Every little moment she spent was treasure. Jonathan had given her comfort; he had taught her how to stand, how to lead, and how to be a woman.
“Don’t you trust us at all? We had given you everything you needed ever since you were born. Haven’t you gratitude to offer, by respecting a real man we had found for you, and tie the knots as we wish?” Aurora had become numb upon the parenting love. She would show as much of the love as possible as a gratitude. But she needed something grand; to explore, to search and to feel for her life.
“You are not allowed to touch those cold beverage and sweets, or any frozen desserts. They are bad for you, especially to your health.” She had heard enough and had to learn to trust her will. She was only ten while those word still swimming in her mind; a little girl who had health problem ever since she was born. Had she had those problems brought forward to her adult age, Aurora had yet to experience the true freedom.
Forget the past. I shall have faith. Her mind swirled. Doubts, decision… God, help me.
Seduction, her mouth started to water. Her nerves tensed as she watched. Her mouth opened slightly, imitating the movement of the feeding mouths. A sudden invisible touch of cold filling her nerves, sending shivers across her body. Her eyes were half-closed.
“Aurora, what have I told you about cold dessert?” her mother exclaimed; panicked as she screamed for her husband. It was the time she had her first taste of ice cream. Curious and tempted, she was only wished to be like a normal kid. She wasn’t expecting her senses to fail upon her, nor had she wanted to cause worry to her parents. Her mother was in broken tears as the husband tried to soothe the woman. But what truly shattered was her tiny, weak beating heart.
Her eyes opened from the sudden choke of the past; her one history that was meant to be another memory. She watched them again, and one after the other she lifted her heels, walked across the street.
The doorbell rang at her presence. The smell of cream and flavors, the aroma of tea and coffee, were filling her senses. Lingered by the door way, she was caught in a moment of paradise.
“Good afternoon, ma’am.”
Aurora’s attention was drawn toward a young, good looking man. His smile welcomed her as she moved towards the counter, and her eyes began to touch against the colorful, frozen creams. Aurora returned the smile before she spoke, “Erm… I think I’ll have the vanilla flavor.”
“Just one scoop, ma’am?”
“Yes, just one scoop… thanks.”
Nervousness. She had never felt the edginess upon her nerves. Not even like the first time she had sex, mind filled with words she couldn’t comprehend, yet, liking the sated feel. Yes, that’s what she needed to feel at the moment. She prayed for a pleasant feel.
“Here you go, ma’am. You may have a seat by the window. It sure nice to have ice cream on a cold season,” the young man said, handling the small bowl, and then along with his smile again. He was too friendly that Aurora couldn’t help but to think of her son. Brian. She read on his name tag.
“Thank you, Brian.” She smiled.
But that didn’t put her on ease.
Just calm down, Aurora. She soothed. It was only a scoop of ice cream. Just one small spoonful, and put it into my mouth, then swallow; you’ll be fine. Yes, I’ll be fine.
Temptation eventually pulled her into its embrace.
The spoon slightly cut through the surface, and then smoothly glided down, feeling the softness. A spoonful of cream led closer to her watery mouth, while her dry throat had thirst for dampness. Her body screamed for the sudden unwelcome cold. Yet, the cream melted as soon as it touched her tongue, while its softness felt through the tunnel of her throat, and then her nerves eventually accepting the new sensation which spread across her body like the virus.
For the first time since so long, she had never felt so much joy; as she tasted freedom, and felt alive.
Unconsciously, she was mesmerized by the white scenery behind the glass window, and then taking one spoonful after another; her husband called.
“Hey, love. Where are you?” he asked over the line. “They said you’ve left the office an hour ago. Is everything alright?”
“I’m lost.” And she meant it.
“Yes?”
She smiled after a while of pause, and finally found her voice, she spoke again.
“I’m lost, my dear.”
“Where are you now?”
“In a paradise of frozen delight.”
