Description: Writen in the summer of '06, this is one of my band's greatest songs to date, acoustic yet powerful with a drawn out outro of wordless singing... An unintentionally "existentialist" comment on a life that's so truly devoid of meaning, that death is the only attractive option. Death equals freedom from a pointless existence. Anyway, look for us out there someday... Or not... Either way, we are Position 9.
Oh, and please ignore the comment of JenFlynn because she inadvertently misinterpreted what I was trying to say. Utu is the Sumerian (present day Iraq) sun god... The collapse of beauty would be the degeneration of a star into a black hole, which follows its state of supernova.
Firstly- I think you should put 'a' before 'supernova'. There needs to be some...identification, I feel. This character is following something so cornered in a body of nothing, which contains more particles like it. Maybe it's just my sense of having each belong to another, or to something, to relate to, to connect with, for reason, but, this nova needs a body. Also, it helps with the flow. If you do not wish to put 'a', then, possibly, you can pluralize it?
Secondly- If I am correct, novas are still, unless you consider their expansion in distance in direct correlation with the expansion of the universe itself. Either way...I do not believe you can "follow" a nova! You can probably meet one, hide in one, find solance in one, hope upon one, seek guidance, wonder, etc- but physically follow one? I do not think so. For these lyrics, I believe some accuracy would help, not only wonder and bewilderment, on behalf of the symbolism.
