Im sorry i left you like that
    But i had to flee
Get away from all the pain
    You were causing me
So i came up to the mountains
Where i could be wild and free
    Up here
Where there was no pain or grief

    Up in the mountains
Where the tree are big and round
    The birds chirp softly
    Oh what a beautiful sound
    And i sit here
    In this place of tranquility
    High above my hometown
Realizing i now have a new start

i thought this was pretty good. i usually don't mind it, but to be honest, i thought this one could definately stand to be a bit longer. i would like, if you don't mind, to suggest the title 'a new start'. my only real problem with this is the happiness of the whole thing. i liked how the mountains were above the hometown and all that, but i think i might have liked it better if you had explained more of the reasons for running away and/or the journey.

It means a lot to them, as it does to you.
