Aids doesn't just effect the gay population..it effects us all...

Internal Enemy dots

These patch work quilt souls
all of them sewn together
by a thread of entwined paths

Each stitch is fragile to the touch
be gentle and take care
with this precious piece of art

For some patches are tattered
and weathered at the seams
they're close to falling apart

  I can't say i've ever know anyone with aids but I've know a few with other std's the stigma that these people are promiscuous is often far from the truth my friend got it from a guy she was with for a year that knew he had it and waited until after they'd been intimate to tell her. She was only 18 and it was previously a virgin. Many people are born with the disease. we all suffer in some form or another. it's just a tragedy people can't see the bigger picture. take care

i saw this up in your journal nice lady and i was going to comment on it but then i saw youd posted and came to see and here it was.

i like the idea of creating quilts to remember someone. i think i saw it on a movie once... maybe stepmom but i could be making that up...

and you are right... AIDS is an internal enemy.
i know that when i was in ethiopia i interacted with some of the most beautiful ppl in the world who had AIDS through no fault of their own which was heartbreaking

i think this is a beautiful piece nice lady.
i really do.
