    Alone she stands
    Silent and still
A statue in a busy courtyard
that no one cares to look at
    She is weathered and cracked
    the mark of neglect
    She stands unchanging
as the world around her evolves
    It becomes a nightmare land
    Strange and isolated
    Inside she weeps
    her exterior may be stone
    a thick skin developed
so she could not show her pain
but inside she has a heart
    and it breaks
the bindings wrap tightly around her
As the frear wells up inside
    She has been uprooted
Her new world is dark and foreboding
The isolation is worse than before
Day and night she finds herself longing
    Standing lonely
    cast out like a whore
    No friendly faces
    not a soul around
She cries for hours on end
inside her heart keeps on breaking
    all she wants
is for it someday to mend
