Spheres of Influence

“Take a walk
to the far side of me.”

In complete confusion
he shrugged his shoulders.

“Release yourself,
walk away.”

“I do not understand,”
he shrugged again.

“You do not shine for yourself,
only ‘cause people need you.”

“They depend on me,” he replied,
“that’s all I ever wanted.”

“You’re trapped!”

just loved by everyone,”
he said in respondents.

“You’ll see, I’m the future,
from the first walk
and soon a colony.”

“Yah, well…
I’m bigger,”

replied the sun.
