    dotsIf and Woulddots

If I told you I loved you
    what would you say
    what would you do
    only God will know

    Would you say it back
    or walk away
    and ignore me
    like most people do

If I took a bullet for you
    would you do the same
    or leave me to bleed
out the hole in my chest

If I told you my secret
    would you spread it around
    or keep it to yourself
    and tell me yours

If I said you could trust me
    would you believe me
    or think I was lying
    and never trust me

If I died the next morning
with my heart in my hand
    would you get the message
that it's my gift to you

    Would you even care
    that every night
I would cry till i fell
    into peaceless sleep

or am I not good enough
    to gain your respect
or the love that you spread
    to everyone but me.
