       In between
    Being borne,
    Being bored,
    then nothingness,
    life becomes a dream
    that is forever constant,
the idea of death is obscene
    and uncharacteristic of you,
    You live forever in moments
    of millisecond pleasures
    and recurring nightmares
    in between commercials.

    you wither away
    through the labor of days,
and decay in the formal doubts
    you've dressed yourselves in.

    dotsThe dead lifedots

    We the dead,
    We the dead,
    When we desisted,
    we were forgotten.
    When we died
    we were already decayed.

    We the dead we dance
    We the dead we sing
    We the dead haunt you
    with our wretched endings.

    We the dead.
We were borne into the belief
    of binging on benign desires.
    we never saw the ground
    rising up to greet us.
    our brittle bones broke
    as we beat ourselves
    against our tomb walls.

    In the end,
We were conquered by our own afflictions,
beaten, we waited for death to take us..
Dead, we haunt this graveyard we call home.

    We the dead.
    We were told
to keep our dirty mouthes closed
to hide our ugly crooked teeth
from the beautiful people across the street.

Our peers were our pall bearers,
    Our keepers were our coffins,
Our chiseled looks became our tombstone faces.

    In the end,
We just wanted people to want us,
but people never saw us because we were too afraid to show..
    We died alone.
Dead, we haunt this graveyard we call home.

    We the dead.
We forged our lives through toil,
turmoil, sleepless nights, and botched days.
    When we were uncooperative
We were declared unfit for living,
    And we believed it.

We lived dangling one foot in prescription pills,
necks in our nooses of self loathing
and five feet off the ground

    In the end,
Living a lifetime halfway in between either or,
death was just a yes or no decision.
    Our lives were our deaths..
Dead, we haunt this graveyard we call home.

    We the dead,
    We the dead,
We wail shrieking winds that pull at your hair
and tear your eyes with our graveyard breath
and our rotten tongues full of maggots and worms.

    We the dead,
    we the dead,
    We warn you,
Dead, You too will haunt your own home.

I could have done without all the maggots and worms. Anyway, the beginig of this the wwwwwwwww is almost overwhelming. I think the b repetition is done a bit more tactfully. Yet the repetition provided a chanting summoning seance sort of feel. It's interesting how much western ideals of death differ from indigenous tribes. This is a great reminder to live while a live so strange the poem I read before this also talked about not wasting the day. take care. peace
