    dotsFor Simondots

    Itís been rumored
that you donít believe in tortoises.
Youíd like to flip one on its back
    Poke it gently with sticks
    Force it from its shell
    Check its pulse
Shine a penetrating light into its eyes
    Perform a body-cavity search
Experiment in ways PETA wonít approve
    Do exploratory surgery
    Grab it by the tail
    Split the thing wide open.

      Hi Annie,

there is a gentle touch here that is yours and all the concerns
rebuffed, this is simply about being a boy.

In a few lines, you describe the curiosity inflamed by an inquiring mind and how else does one of limited idea touch reality and make it plausible?

to break the shell and see inside? is this a petaphor for life
herself? oh dear, that was a typo, I meant metaphor, but it's
so fitting, just like the shell the turtle wears. Nicely done, thanks for sharing.
