I basically pulled this out of my thoughts, I know it's not my best.

    My memory is gloomy
And I haven't been sane in weeks
    So I can't clearly remember
The last time I truly cared

I've lost all my former respect
For both myself and my acquaintances
All because the affairs I hated in the past
Are somehow finding their way back

Had hopes of a better tomorrow
Thought I could tear my enmity to pieces
And I could shed myself a new skin
    While never looking back

    Subconsciously I knew
    My expectations were impossible
I knew I'd end up forlorn again
But that's never stopped me before

So on a cold day of September
    I sit here in solitude
Thinking of all those wasted years
    That could have been memories
