Fighting away Midnight
Midnight descends ghostly,
Upon the frightened angry sea.
Stars shimmering like embers,
Cracking from a sultry fire.
My wayward eyes catch a falling star,
Swimming across the hushed sky above me.
Summons from the dusk sea,
Are waving me into its storm to retire.
My shell of a jaded vessel,
Repels the lust creeping in like midnight.
Fighting to extinguish the embers,
Of a once sultry love affair.
Masking my eyes from our falling love,
As it silently bursts its last light.
Blocking my ears from the rushing invites,
Of the waves avid for your spellbound stare.
Midnight melts away from the sea,
With shiny gold that drips from sun-rays.
The fading stars softly twinkle dissolving,
From trickling drops of gold that falls on embers.
My eyes spy as the warmth's breeze,
Pushes the falling star from my days.
A calm slowly overtakes the calls of the waves,
Rushed in order to force me to remember.
The moons reflection dances on its glass top,
The seas last farewell to midnight
Faded stars are smoldering ashes the remains,
From a scorched love affair.
Eyes opened wide to inspect a fallen love,
That lost it last glint of light.
Opening my ears to hear wails of foaming waves,
That surge from your obscured stare.
Daylight ascends so heavenly,
Upon the wearied blissful sea.
Clouds floating like soft sighs of breaths,
Released from an extinguished fire.
My drowsy eyes catch a falling drop of sun,
Dancing down from the suns rays above me.
Peacefully, silence echoes from the sea,
As the impatient waves stumble to retire.
