Description:

Go Ahead

You're a cowardly man
You sleep with scum
But don't feel alone
cause this person here
isn't much better

You love them
then leave them
it's not your fault
it's just your way

So go ahead do your thing
Break this heart of mine
Tommorow ill wake up
And i'll be fine

And just go ahead
give up on me
I'm not worth half as much
As i was meant to be

Just go on ahead
walk away again
and don't worry about me
because i can take the pain

Go on
Go ahead
save yourself
and leave me for dead

I would have to agree that the writer is being dat giving to the serial lover. it' an interesting poem all together b/c eventhough you know you shouldn't love a lathario who runs around on you and hurts you, you can't bear it and even though its your fault you take the blame. i love the ending though! it portrays a real sense of longing and needing.

Your stule of mixing free verse with rhyme scheme in this piece is interesting. The message of the piece sounds a bit defeatist to me and the writer is being far to giving to this serial lover.
