Description:

I conquer

I long
and I want
To be enabled to
but can’t,
I believe
and I need
Instead I plead
and I bleed.
To yearn for my affection:
just smile.

This is like a Jonah in a whale's belly. He was caught between a rock and a hard place until he realised there was nothing to do except to smile (pray).
I think if you changed the word (affection) to that of (deflection) it would portray the idea of resolution.

Yeah, I gave this one a few read-throughs. I'm with Big Bill on this one. The forming of the line breaks and the placement of punctuation (which I trust is on purpose?) gives me an interesting experience as I finish up and 'just smile' too. Very nice.
