what good is a bottomless cup?

when a leader is needed, what good is a pup?

what good is a broken bowl?

what good is a body with out a soul?

    a heart may break
but how long does it take?

    spirit may die
but when will it not fly?

    a smile may be lost
but how long till the heart has frost

a sparkle may leave one's eye
but will the soul go dry?

my love for you will stay
but will yours be that way?

    a tear may fall
    but i might not ball

    life will go on
but every day there's a new dawn.

i do sit and think 'what if" quite often; and more often then less i find that i have spent too much time thinking on the 'what' rather than the 'get-the-heck-out-there-and-do-somthing' however this never stopes me the next time it hits my mind.

what if is the cure to lack of creativity, 'what if i do this?'

i only rant on this because i think you lived in the 'get-the-heck-out-there-and-do-somthing' phase and said to your self 'what if i did this'

    :)

Haha, I like the use of the end part (when theres a new day, theres a new dawn) It fits with the poem and its used in a great place, loved it. Shadow

"How many roads must a man walk down
Before you call him a man?
Yes, 'n' how many seas must a white dove sail
Before she sleeps in the sand?
Yes, 'n' how many times must the cannon balls fly
    Before they're forever banned?
The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind,
The answer is blowin' in the wind."

Just listen to the wind, annie, listen to the wind...

The best parts of life are the questions. The ones that go so long unanswered are the ones with the deepest importance and meaning...and these are some of those questions.

This is a very lovely, soul-searching piece. Thanks for searching, annie.

    Excellent job!

Lovely, you shouldn't leave so many spaces in between them, still, it's really nice!
I like the way it rhymes.
