Searching for a whole mirror among broken ones,
    an almost impossible task.
So I find my reflection in a thousand faces.
    Some I flea from
because just now I cannot bear to look at me in you
Some I yearn for and then forget to own.

What I pull towards in you
    is also in me.
..and I guess that goes what for I run from too.

    Collecting the shards and splinters
to realise once again my mirror is whole.
    Seeing mine whole
let's me see the wholeness of yours too.

If only we had the courage to face each other in our butt naked wholeness.

Instead we cast our mirrors in shadows
and look only to what we can bear to see.

I searched high and low for the mirror
    from whom most flee.

That mirror was free expression of emotional honesty.

I feel it now in me.
Can you feel it yearning to be free in thee?

      even as the reflection shimmers
it's the cracks that convey brilliance
    as every part that moves
    is a dance
    connecting our ability
    to accept or reject
    the one who looks
    into our soul

    is any part of us
    not the other?

I think this work proves that idea
deep stuff, Kate, I enjoyed the read.

    one thing on syntax:
and I guess that goes for what I run from too.
    beautiful insight, thanks for sharing

I cannot imagine why you haven't gotten any comments on this revealing piece. You always put a lot of yourself out there and your words echo from your soul - finding yourself andsharing that with others.

    Happy Day!
