We all shall die,
Both you and I.
So why toil away?
Why not just play?
I could have made a difference,
I could have saved the world.
When they passed my sentence,
Not a single cry was heard.
I would have been the saviour,
I would have stopped the end.
But I could not stop the terror,
So my apologies I send.
I walk along the river,
its waters made of souls.
Of hope their is no sliver,
The damned in their graves roll.
If you had only listened,
I would have been there.
But you have been chastened,
So you would never dare.
All it takes is the courage of one,
To save the one and all. |
