Stuff, everyone wants it, and they want it all. No one really needs it, but we want it all the same. Why? Why do we need the small comforts drawn from the material possesions the world is obsessed with? Why do all those who can afford thing like extra cars, huge televisions, hired help, and the like spend it on those things? Why can't they see past their selves? Why can't people who ca afoord it donate to charities? Why not do someone else besides themselves a favor and buy clothes or food or medicine for people in need of it? Why do we, humans as a species, think forst of ouselves and only then maybe then do we think of others and their needs? Why should our wants come before the needs of others? |
