    -------------------------------------------

You crossed the bridge inside of me
    Taking my heart
Then you burned my bridge to the ground
So no one could cross it ever again
Your on the edge of your bridge
    Waving with a big grin
With my heart tucked under your arm.

    Give me back my heart
I do not want this pain
I want to be able to love again
Just because you think you won
Doesn't mean you get a consolation prize.

    Never mind, forget it
    I'll build a new bridge
    And grow a new heart
    After all everyone can
    Broken hearts can be mended
    And boys can become men.

Let's just wait to see how long
It takes for you to really win
    Then you'll see the truth
    Behind the words I say
    But for now I'll continue
Building my bridge and growing my heart.
