This does still look in the pre-writing stage, however you said you wanted some opinions on how to reform it. First, edit it up, making it longer, do whatever, go over it with a fine-tooth comb and edit it.
Second: Description. It would be nice for a little background, and like you told me, it's confusing, personally, it's not. Maybe it's just because I get my special philosophical powers from the night, (lol, kidding) but I think I personally understand it. Fire is the warmth that is within everything--volcanoes, the core of the earth, a candle, and regardless what form that's what it gives. And light too.
It may cause destruction, but that's not it's overall purpose.
