    dotsToo Longdots

    Itís been a long time
Since I last laid pen to page
Been at a loss for words
    For quite a whole now
And I Ďm not sure how
    To break this curse
That has held my words captive
    For so long
But all I can do is try
    Cuz as a writer
I have a duty to write
    And speak to the masses
    Teach generations lessons
    That text books never touch
But how can I do that
    When my river of words
    Has run dry
I guess all I can do is try
    Cuz itís been too longs

all ya can do is try.
    "for quite awhile now"? right?
i'm not sure about the whole "writers block" thing. i mean,i have periods of time where i don't write anything but i guess i just don't call those periods of time anything, they're just periods of time.
i suppose i just figure if the inspiration isn't there or your muse is on vacation, why force it?
    when the time is right...
and this is a great start.
sometimes just the act of putting words on paper, even someone elses words or lyrics to a super good song will spark something and off you go.
    my two cents.
