Description: ok so as some,
or one
or two
of you
might of knew
i got a set of drums
which is fun
me and a friend of mine from work were tryin to get a jam together saturday. somewhere between four bar blues and lennon's "come together" we had a cool little punkish rythm goin. this is in vein....worth the time investing in development?
all that diggin and you're bound to make a hole
all we're preachin we're not weepin for control
all that diggin you'll be livin in a hole
yeah we dug it so we're fuckin in the hole
front to the truth
truth to the back
all for your tooth
like your tooth could react
all that diggin and you're bound to find a soul
with all that diggin found itself in a hole
all that diggin you'll be livin as a soul
yeah we dug it so we're fuckin from the soul
front for the youth
youth get your backs
all for "your" truth
when the truth ain't like that
pray now father
children walk the wire
truth told a fib
and now the fibber is the liar
all that diggin and you're bound to find a home
all we dug still we haven't found the bones
you stuck em in the corner like no one else should know
but you never dug it so how you fuckin know
back to the stars
stars to the sky
truth for the youth
when the truth is it's lies
all that diggin stones are proned to be thrown
but rest your head with the dead and their bones
diggin for a feelin we're just reelin for a home
just keep on diggin cuz you're not fucking alone
pray now father
the stars sold the sky
the moon told the earth
that he really was the light
(On an unrelated note, the title has sent "Sex and Candy" into my head...)
But other than that, I don't really know what to tell you. I will say that "Come Together" is one of two Beatles songs that I could listen to for eternity. That, and four-bar blues are fun to play.
... As for the piece, it's kind of unfocused, but songs are poetic anomalies. They really don't have to be amazing to be fun to listen to and sing along to and play...
... Helpful??
...
pray now father
the stars sold the sky
the moon told the earth
that he really was the light
I adore this piece. It's strong, yet has a level of locality. Like, everyone could have something to relate to this, though not really. Contradiction. It's lovely.
