movement -------------------------------------------
movement.
leaves falling from oaks in downtown parks.
transformation
in a world of autumn.
a blaze of color on blazers and in sunsets
as the breeze speaks of something beyond me.
impulse and faith;
love and abandon.
or... (or is it and?)
wisdom and practicality?
shelter in the seasons?
and it’s new faces.
new ideas but the same old question:
can you trust experience?
seasoning the senses.
learning to live.
learning to trust.
learning to sit in mediocrity.
and the leaves are turning down by the river.
the shift as life begins to turn,
the winds are blowing soft over tears.
sadness settles in as a piece of the here and now
soon frost will be on window panes.
soon ice will still us.
yet
soon this will end and it’ll be springtime.
