    Water trickling down
    My velvet dress
    That I had taken hours
    To choose to wear it today

    Hot tears trickling down
    My blushed cheeks
    Eyes swollen from
    All the hurt

    Staring into the night
    Taking in the truth
    Isn't it cruel?
    To not turn up
    After someone had waited
    For so long?

    By the fountain
    I sit there helplessly
    Alone with myself
    The night's silence
    My only company

    Maybe when I
    See you again
    I'll tell you
    How I feel right now
    And it won't be pretty

    Trust me.
