Hello, My Name Is... -------------------------------------------
They say their "hi"s and "who are you"s
I say "Hello, my name is Casey".
They ask " are you new? I've never seen you before"
I tell them "no, I've just never been here before".
I walk the room and find a seat
I search the room for someone that isn't new to me
I've seen their faces before but they names are a mystery
They already know each other
Why do they need to know me?
I meet them all, the best I can
And forget their names by the end of the night
Why do I bother?
This isn't real
These aren't real friends
But my real friends are gone now
We went our seperate ways.
So these friends are all I have.
You did a real good job in this write of describing the pain a person feels when they are dislodged from their familer surrondings and placed in a situation they feel very uncomfortable in
When I was a child my family moved a lot and I know the feeling you are describing very well
All I can say is I used to always sing an old jingle to myself when we were always moving
MAKE NEW FRIENDS BUT KEEP THE OLD ONE IS SILVER AND THE OTHER GOLD
Those words are incredibly so true
Please nif you get a chance Please take a look at some of my writes and let me know what you think
