    dotsApple & Cinnamon Oatmealdots

I know I can count on you.
    And that's saying something.
    For what we've gone through...
You still mean so much to me.

I know I can count on you.
    Opening my sleep-filled eyes
    and I will see you.
A smile always at your lips.

I know I can count on you
to understand my awkward morning language.
There are no words, but a slight pressure on chords
to squeak amiably in your direction.

I know I can count on you
to leave for work at the same time
And know that I won't be able to sleep again.

I know I can count on you
to leave your empty bowl for oatmeal
    on the bed-side drawers.
And in between warm blankets, I will grin.

I know I can count on
    Apple and Cinnamon Oatmeal bowls
    in the bedroom we share.

It shows the softer side of a relationship well...I enjoyed it.

The offbeat stanzas really draw your reader in.

It means a lot to them, as it does to you.
