Description:

vine

i cling about you
like a vine
twisting, holding
pulsing.

i will drip off you,
dangle precariously
and threaten to fall
but remain
the same
and let you
drink me in.

long delicate fingers
tapping staccato
to a quickened heartbeart,
feet too tangled
together
to tap.

make me flow,
make me flower
and reach out
to touch your golden
skin.

i'm tired of this darkness.

this is a very sensual piece. its raw, almost brutal and sexy. there is a nice flow to this piece studded with certain enjambments.

i love the imagery you use here. its very bestial, dripping with sexuality. but its also, tender as in the way you cling like an Aerial root or an epiphyte - nucleus-like. ive written about the aforementioned terms in several poems and they always seemed to be the perfect image.

overall, very nice indeed.
