yeah, i tried to make this rhyme

I open my hand
And let go of the knife
I cry and I weep
This is the definition of my life

Blood spatters on the ground
And I slump to the floor
What did I do?
Why do I want more?

I am confused
The world rushes by
I can't see straight
I'm losing my mind

I feel a presence
Someone else is here
I turn around
And once more I fear

A harsh insult
A cruel tirade
I wish I could endure
I wish I could stay

Why won't he stay silent?
Why should he care?
Is it the mess on the floor?
Or the scent in the air?

He raises his hand
And deals a frightful blow
As I ask myself
How far did i go?

Not far enough
I am still here
He is still hurting me
And I still fear

This is a crime
This is a hypocrisy

Why shouldn't I hurt myself?
