Description:

Just a song I wrote for music class that my group and I had to perform. We did really good too, we got a 98% on it.

Lost Cause

It's so hard to live these days
so hard to communicate
the words just rot and fall all away
through all this confusion
It's so hard to see
That there is no right way to go,
no possibility

(chorus)

because we're a lost cause
confused as can be
because we're a lost cause
and there's nothing left for me,
All I ever wanted
was something in return
then I woke up one day
and said "When will I learn?"

(Instrumental break)

It's hard to look for what's
lost and left behind
and I know the answer's
somewhere hidden in my mind
and if I look deep enough
Maybe I will see,
that all this time I've been searching
I shoulda looked for me

( repeat chorus and last 2 lines)

because we're a lost cause
confused as can be
because we're a lost cause
and there's nothing left for me
All I ever wanted
was something in return
Then I woke up on day
and said "when will I learn?"

Then I woke up one day
and said "When will I learn?"

Say, the content here was really redundant, but perhaps that works for lyrical poetry...I liked how you strung the words together and adhered to the same subject. It was easy on the eyes. Kinda like reading the lyrics inside the little booklet of musicians kind enough to print them all out for you...its really relaxing to follow along sometimes...I do wish I had the audio version of this available.

I definately would have given you 100% for the lyrics, but the instruments are a different matter. What exactly did you use in this performance, I've been through loads of music projects and our choice of instruments was very limited and so there was only so much originality that each group could have. Anyway, like I said great lyrics, but I can't get an instrumental sound in my head at all. Sorry.

Pretty good song. I'd love to hear the music to it. I give you a 100% :D I liked the flow and the rhythm of the lyrics, though I'm not much of commenting, this is great! Awesome write!

That was a really cool song. I like how yu have it structured.. flows smoothly. I feel like a "lost cause" sometimes as well. You did a perfect job explaining the title with all the traits and emotions it is to feel lost. You do an awesome job expressing yourself on keyboard/paper. Well done
