    dotsChristmas Dreamdots

Last night I was feeling downcast,
For the season of Christmas was done.
Next Christmas is a long time to wait
Now that the year's just begun.

I fell asleep to dream of angels.
    My Guardian took my hand
And led me along for a lovely vigil
    In a strange, holy land.

It was just like what's written in the Bible,
For a radiant star shone bright
As we entered a lowly, dreary stable
    In the silent, sleepy night.

A baby lay in a manger!
A couple worn out in the cold.
But their joy and awe at their baby dear
    Was just beautiful to behold.

For a moment, I gazed at Him, enraptured
As we all stood very still.
To think that I saw Lord Jesus!
It gave me a tremendous thrill!

Then, Mother Mary spoke to me,
    "Your Guardian Angel said
That you were unhappy that Christmas was over
    When you went to bed".

    I nodded, feeling a bit queer;
Every thing that I do, He sees.
But Mother Mary drew me near
    And put me at ease.

"Christmas is being grateful to Jesus
As He wants to be born in your heart.
Christmas is doing just as He pleases,
That's when all the darkness departs.

So, if you are good and faithful to Him
    In your own special way,
I promise that you can celebrate Christmas
    Each and every day."

So, when I awoke the next morning,
I was glad of the new year,
And decided to start it with a hug for good hearted
Mum & Dad who always fill me with cheer.
