i think the soft, firm hand of love guiding hate out of harm's way..is interesting..
love is the stronger...and hopefully the hate will dissipate--given the softer virtue's reign.
and out of harm's way...rather than so much protecting the hate...it is protecting what the hate would do harm to...
interesting juxtaposition of the two...and less words give us more leeway in interpretation...i always like that...just one slight suggestion
"Love's Firm hands"
but yes, this is the first of yours i have read...and it makes me want to read more..which i will...
sorry but i have not seen or red the original poem. it is short but to the point, love and hate, the two opposites(ying and yang like)sometimes there are also only a few words spoken, or a short action in real life, and then love can turn to hate as well. the word hate is mentioned twice , love is also mentioned twice. i get the image of two hands(of love) pushing away two other hands(of hate) i like that.like a struggle
and the soft hands of love(i hope)
gently guides the hard hands of hate,
slowly, shutting the gate.
Short, powerful, and yet at the same time soothing. It was such a gentile poem from start to finish, except the word "Firm" which stuck out against the rest of the adjectives used. It helps a lot to emphasize the strength of love, and the power it commands, as it creates a safe haven for you. Much enjoyed.
This is so soft, it sort of just numbed my mind when I read it. It's like when someone tells you something, and their voice is soft, and all you wanna say after that it "Ok." This is a really soft imagery here, and it sort of reminded me of the a soft breeze blowing the clouds, with the hand guiding this hate out of harms way. This was lovely.
Be well,
