    First, another dose
    of this dripping needle;
    fingertips convulse
    and then it's set.
    Four, three, two, one
    and stilleto knives puncture,
    those spit-shined lungs.
    For another time,
    and hold the sound
    of ripping into weeping flesh.
    Kiss and goodbye,
    the shoestring tendons
    of those muscles ache
    and fall apart.

    Can't say one's trouble
    is worth this decay.
    Heart beats slaughtered,
    for another bone to break.
    Donned a new skin,
    for new eyes and
    those foggy recollections
    of splitting in two.
    Maggots chomp on
    that baby's ear
    and laughter fills
    her empty room.

    Wasn't meant to
    shade too deep
in the lines of this blade.
    Twisted limbs,
    caress the tree root ankles
    and fuck new holes
    into that complacent face.
    It wasn't enough,
    to color the pages
    of skin
    with the cups of bile
    they coughed up.

    Like an overdose or afterthought,
    jutting out like needle

This was an inspiring piece. It almost played with the mind with the images burned so deeply within. Few can write a poem and it stick in someones mind for days afterward. Feel lucky. You are one of the few.
