Description:
I wrote this right after my cat Spar-kle passed away.
If you're not a cat lover, don't read this.
Ghazal for my Deceased Cat
-------------------------------------------
I saw unmistakably, my deep bond with you.
To a grave weeping, while I lift you.
No more pain, yea this is true.
And your earthly body was not truly you.
You couldn't die if you weren't born too.
The eternal shines constant. Still I miss you.

I'm a cat person.
What is a ghazal? Is it a verseform? I see the rhyme rule, but the metre is interesting in this poem - is that part of the form, or is it your own feeling for the variations?
