An angel from the darkness, whispered in my ear
She promised to stay with me, And steer me clear from fear
She took me by my hand
And guided me through good times, and the worst
And helped me overcome things that really made me
hurt
The sky now seemed a lighter shade of grey
And finally on earth I wanted to stay
Now times weren’t getting better, sorrow was still all around
But she taught me to look on the bright side
And to be strong within
I realized life would continue on,
no matter how bad it made my head spin
I wanted to thank the angel
for freeing me of this pain
but when I couldn’t find her
I was finally able to see
